Add Vibrato or Remove AI-Generated Default Vibrato

The singing synthesis model generates vibrato effects at certain points based on MIDI information and the characteristics of the AI singers, among other factors. However, you might want a different result than the model's default. Let's learn how to manually add vibrato or remove the vibrato generated by the model.

  1. To add vibrato, you can use the [Vibrato] tool.
  2. To remove vibrato, you can use the [Modulation] tool, or the [Draw Pitch] tool to draw freely.

[Vibrato] Tool

*The vibrato tool actually adds an envelope drawn on the pitch. To achieve the best results, we suggest that you first use the [modulation] tool to flatten the pitch before using the [vibrato] tool.
Click the icon shown in the image or press the shortcut key [4].

Then, left-click and drag on the note where you want to add vibrato to create a vibrato effect (indicated by the yellow line in the image). You can adjust its length, amplitude, and frequency.

Click the square in the top left corner and slide up or down to adjust the vibrato amplitude.

Click the fan shape in the bottom left corner and slide left or right to adjust the vibrato phase.

Drag the boundary line of the vibrato to adjust its starting position.

[Modulation] Tool

In the toolbar above the piano roll, find the icon shown in the image or press the shortcut key [5].

On the note you want to modify, long-press the left mouse button and drag down to smooth out the pitch line; if you drag it all the way down, the pitch will become a straight line. The white line in the image below is the pitch smoothed by the Modulation tool, while the gray line is the original pitch generated by the model.

[Draw Pitch] Tool

In the toolbar above the piano roll, find the icon shown in the image or press the shortcut key [1].

Next, you can draw the pitch line freely. If you want to remove vibrato, simply draw a relatively straight pitch line over the note with vibrato to overwrite it.
